Measuring your ROI on video marketing

How do I measure return on investment on my video marketing?

This is the first question a company will ask when weighing up any marketing spend. When marketers were recently asked to rate their satisfaction with the performance of various channels including social, games and live events, video ranked the highest with 51% satisfaction.

Here are a few tips on measuring the effectiveness of your video:

  • Set some goals for your video – if these are not clearly defined you will not be able to tell how successful it was as you have nothing to measure against. Make this part of your overall marketing strategy
  • Add a call-to-action – this can be included in the video itself through a clickable URL or by entering an email address
  • Be clear – tell people exactly what you want them to do after watching the video
  • Use video analytics – This way you can track engagement statistics and behaviours Video is a vital element of all marketing strategies but it must be measured against your objectives and targets in order to achieve maximum potential!
