There’s an old saying if you don’t ask, you don’t get, But none of us find it easy asking for what we want, so we’d like to share an easier approach.
Keep these three things in mind; be clear in your communications, be believable, and have low attachment to the outcome.
In other words, it requires a delicate combination of being effective, expressive and being personalable when you make your request, but this is key, you must have a low attachment to the outcome — which means not taking a rejection personally when it happens — and it will happen from time to time.
Many businesses feel reluctant to adding video in their marketing plan; if you’re new to it then you really need to do your research. It’s all about what you want; don’t let people choose for you.
So in short “if you don’t ask, you don’t get,” and remember if we don’t ask in the first place, the answer is already “no”.
